Q&A with Brendan McGee, Founder, Silver Therapeutics

Tell us about your product(s). What do you make or sell, and what should people know about it?

At Silver Therapeutics, we’re driven to curate experiences that meet people where they are. From flower to prerolls to vapes, we create and manufacture products that customers consistently come back for because they know what they’re getting: uncompromising quality and care. By controlling more of the process, from packaging to formulation, we’re able to uphold a standard of excellence that builds long-term trust. For us, products serve as meaningful touchpoints in our relationships with our customers.

Please introduce us to the people behind the brand.

We were all brought together through family—a mix of cousin connections and family friends. Building any business comes with hurdles and hardships, especially in a newer industry like cannabis. It’s like running down the street while trying to get dressed.

What inspired the launch of your brand? Was there a defining moment or problem that pushed you to create it?

Our origins date back to Massachusetts, where the name “Silver Therapeutics” was chosen for our first medical application. While it may have started as a functional decision, it’s become part of our DNA. “Therapeutics” reflects our belief that cannabis has a meaningful role in wellness and community care, and the name has carried with it an implicit trust. We’ve embraced that responsibility by ensuring that everything we do, whether serving patients or adult-use consumers, maintains the same sense of integrity.

What makes your brand stand out? From product quality to brand story—what sets you apart in the industry?

It always comes back to people. Our team is genuinely invested in listening to customers, understanding their needs, and making thoughtful recommendations. We’ve worked hard to create an environment where customers feel seen and heard, not rushed or treated like a transaction. Pair that with our consistent product quality and competitive pricing, and we’ve created a brand experience that is both approachable and dependable. At scale, it’s easy for businesses to lose that soul. For us, it’s the opposite. Our soul is what allows us to scale.

Please walk us through your process. Do you grow, source, or extract in a unique way?

We’ve always believed in the power of partnerships. By working closely with local cultivators in every state we operate in, and collaborating with manufacturers to create proprietary vape blends, we’re able to maintain rigorous quality while celebrating local expertise. This approach lets us bring something authentic to each community we enter, while also ensuring that every Silver Therapeutics product reflects the high standards our customers expect. Sustainability and consistency are the thread, because quality without care isn’t really quality.

What challenges have you faced as a cannabis brand or entrepreneur, and how did you overcome them?

From pandemic shutdowns to vape bans, regulatory roadblocks, and shifting industry tides, we’ve faced just about every curveball. What’s carried us through is our ability to focus on what we can control: our teamwork, our customer relationships, and our commitment to doing things the right way. Challenges become less daunting when you remember why you started and who you’re serving. Every hurdle has only strengthened our resolve to grow with intention and heart.

What’s next for your company? Any new products, partnerships, or big goals on the horizon?

The future is exciting. Silver Therapeutics is expanding into Minnesota, while also deepening our roots in Maine and New York. Growth is a given in this industry, but for us, it’s never about growth for growth’s sake. Our goal remains simple and steady: to get a little better every single day. Whether that’s through refining our product line, expanding our community partnerships, or creating welcoming spaces for new customers, we’re scaling in a way that ensures our soul and our customer focus are never lost in the process.
